A native of Nashville, Mr. McLemore holds a BA from Yale University in New Haven, CT. He studied auctioneering at the Mendenhall School of Auctioneering in High Point, NC, and then went on to work in the contemporary art department at Sotheby's in New York.
Mr. McLemore served as a salesperson with J. P. King Auction Company in Gadsden, Alabama from 1999 until 2004. With J. P. King, Mr. McLemore arranged several high profile auctions including the sale of Barbara Mandrell's home, Fontanel.
During 2005 and 2006, Mr. McLemore developed a real estate auction division for the world's largest industrial auction company, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers.
In 2006, Mr. McLemore founded McLemore Auction Company, LLC and opened its Nashville headquarters. He has sold more than $75 million of real estate and personal property at auction.
Mr. McLemore was elected to the Board of Directors of the National Auctioneers Association on July 16, 2015 and is currently serving a three year term. Before his election, Mr. McLemore served as Chairman of the National Auctioneers Association Education Institute. He is a past President of the Middle Tennessee Auctioneers Group, past Vice President of the Tennessee Auctioneers Association and is a member of the Greater Nashville Association of Realtors.
Mr. McLemore received the Certified Auctioneers' Institute (CAI) designation from the National Auctioneers Association Education Institute, in 2003.
